| 背面描述 | Poseidon standing right, his right foot raised and resting upon a rock, holding a long trident upright in his left hand and a dolphin in his extended right hand. The god is depicted in a dynamic contrapposto pose, characteristic of Hellenistic artistic conventions employed by the Alexandrian mint. The regnal year date appears in the field in Greek numerals, serving as the sole reverse inscription on this provincial issue. |

Year 18 of Antoninus Pius's reign, which is what the regnal date L ΙΗ records, fell during one of the most administratively stable periods in Roman Egypt. Alexandria's mint operated on a strictly Egyptian calendar year system, making Alexandrian bronzes among the most precisely datable provincial issues in the entire Roman series. The mint was prolific in this period, producing a wide variety of reverse types within single regnal years, which has allowed modern die studies to reconstruct something close to actual production sequences.
The 34mm module places this among the larger denominations of the Alexandrian bronze hierarchy — effectively the diobol or larger fraction range, though Alexandrian denomination terminology remains contested among specialists.
