| Obverse description | Laureate head of Emperor Antoninus Pius facing right, with traces of drapery visible at the shoulder truncation. The effigy is rendered in the typical provincial style of Alexandrian coinage, with bold portraiture and a wreath of laurel encircling the head. The encircling Greek legend names the emperor with his full imperial titulature. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show characteristic patination consistent with Egyptian provincial bronze coinage. |
