Obverse description Draped and cuirassed laureate bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, seen from the rear, with the paludamentum (military cloak) visible over the left shoulder. The portrait exhibits the characteristic full beard and idealized imperial effigy standard to Alexandrian civic coinage of the Antonine period. The encircling Greek legend names the emperor with his full titulature in the field surrounding the bust.
