Obverse description Bare laureate head of Emperor Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style with characteristic thick neck and mature facial features. The effigy occupies the central field with the surrounding Greek imperial titulature arranged in a circular legend along the periphery. The portrait displays the conventional drapery at the shoulder truncation typical of Alexandrian coinage of this reign. The flan is broad and irregular, consistent with Alexandrian bronze production of the mid-2nd century AD.

Reverse description A distyle temple depicted in frontal view, its two columns supporting a pediment ornamented with a central disk or solar motif. Within the intercolumniation stands the figure of Elpis (Hope), depicted in left-facing profile, her right hand raised and holding a flower in the characteristic iconographic pose of this deity. The regnal date legend appears in the field. The composition is typical of Alexandrian civic and religious reverse types celebrating imperial piety.
