Reverse description The sacred barque of Sarapis depicted in profile, carrying three standing or seated deities. Sarapis is enthroned at center-left, facing left, holding a long sceptre, with his characteristic kalathos headdress; the three-headed hound Cerberus crouches at his feet. To the left stands a veiled Demeter, facing right, holding a long torch and what appear to be ears of grain. To the right stands Tyche, holding a rudder and cornucopia, also wearing the kalathos. The entire divine group is borne upon an oared processional boat, rendered in a style typical of Alexandrian religious iconography. The regnal year date appears in the field.
