| 正面铭文 | ΑΥΤ Κ Τ ΑΙΛ ΑΔΡ ΑΝΤωΝΙΝΟϹ ϹΕΒ ΕΥϹ(ΕΒ) (Translation: Emperor Caesar Titus Aelius Hadrian Antoninus Augustus Pius) |
| 背面描述 | Tyche standing facing, head turned to the left, wearing a kalathos (modius) upon her head. She holds a ship's rudder in her right hand, its base resting on the ground, and a cornucopia in her left arm, symbolising fortune and abundance. The regnal date legend appears in the field. The reverse type is characteristic of Alexandrian provincial coinage under Antoninus Pius, emphasising the city's role as a great maritime and commercial centre. |

Year 12 of Antoninus Pius's reign — rendered in Alexandria's regnal dating system as L ΔωΔΕΚΑΤΟΥ — fell during a period of unusual administrative stability in Roman Egypt. The province operated its own closed currency system, meaning bronze issues like this one never circulated outside Egypt's borders and were periodically recalled and reminted, which accounts for the relative scarcity of high-grade survivors despite substantial original mintages.
