Obverse description Laureate head of Antoninus Pius facing right, depicted with characteristic beard and idealized imperial portraiture typical of Alexandrian provincial coinage. The effigy shows the emperor's bust truncated at the shoulder, rendered in relatively high relief. A circular Greek legend surrounds the portrait, reading in abbreviated form the emperor's full titulature. The style reflects the distinctive engraving tradition of the Alexandrian mint, with somewhat broad facial features and a prominent laurel wreath.
