| Obverse description | Draped bust of Faustina II facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and drawn back in the Antonine fashion typical of Alexandrian provincial coinage. The effigy is rendered in moderate relief, characteristic of the Egyptian mint's style under Antoninus Pius. The Greek legend curves around the bust within the coin's irregular flan. The surface shows an olive-brown patina with areas of green corrosion consistent with a heavily circulated bronze issue. |
