| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, seen from the front, with the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder. The imperial effigy is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Alexandrian coinage, with fine detailing on the laurel wreath and armor. The encircling legend in Greek identifies the emperor by his full titulature. The overall treatment reflects the competent but distinctive hand of the Alexandrian mint workshops. |
