| 背面描述 | Heracles standing to the left, depicted as the triumphant hero of the Tenth Labour, grasping two of the oxen of Geryon with his right hand while holding his club in the left; the Nemean lion skin is draped over his forearm. At his feet lies the fallen body of the triple-formed giant Geryon, slain in the course of the labour. The composition is a rare and iconographically rich type specific to Alexandrian coinage of the reign of Antoninus Pius, celebrating the mythological labours of Heracles. The regnal date legend L ΔΕΚΑΤΟΥ appears in the field. |
