Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the characteristic Alexandrian provincial style with naturalistic portraiture. The emperor's laurel wreath is visible atop his head, and the facial features display the mature, bearded visage associated with his reign. The surrounding field carries the imperial titulature in Greek characters, partially legible on the flan. The flan is slightly irregular, as typical of Alexandrian bronze coinage of this period.
