The portrait displays the mature, bearded effigy of the emperor consistent with his coinage struck during the fourth regnal year of his reign. |

The composition is a standard Alexandrian type celebrating the fertility and abundance conferred by the annual Nile inundation, with the regnal year date in the field. |
