| 背面描述 | The sacred barque of Sarapis depicted in profile, carrying three standing or seated divine figures. Sarapis is enthroned at centre-left, facing left, holding a tall sceptre, with Cerberus at his feet; to the left stands veiled Demeter facing right, holding a torch and ears of grain with poppy; to the right stands Tyche holding a rudder and cornucopia. All figures wear the kalathos (modius). The vessel is shown with oars, rendered in the distinctive syncretic theological iconography favoured by Alexandrian civic coinage. |
