The obverse legend is disposed around the periphery in Greek characters, identifying the subject as Marcus Aurelius Caesar. The portrait reflects the youthful yet bearded iconography characteristic of Marcus Aurelius during his tenure as Caesar under Antoninus Pius, circa 147–161 AD. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Heracles depicted nude, standing facing with head turned to the left, his right arm resting upon a club set on the ground, and his left hand holding the Nemean lion skin draped over the arm. The figure is rendered in the classical Hellenistic tradition common to provincial bronze coinage of Mysia. The reverse legend in Greek runs around the periphery, naming the magistrate and the city of Germe. The composition is typical of civic bronze issues from the Pergamene conventus, emphasizing the heroic cult of Heracles as a civic deity. |
