Reverse description The lunar deity Mên depicted on horseback, riding to the right, wearing a Phrygian cap and with a double axe (labrys) resting over the shoulder; the horse is shown in animated stride above a ground line. The composition reflects the strong local veneration of Mên in the Lydian region. A Greek dedicatory legend naming the local magistrate and the civic community runs around the upper and lower fields.
