(Translation: Emperor Trajan, the Best, Augustus Germanicus Dacicus Parthicus)
Reverse description The emperor Trajan, laureate and togate, stands erect in a quadriga advancing to the right, holding an eagle-tipped sceptre and a branch. A small winged Victory figure crowns him with a wreath from behind. The composition evokes the traditional Roman triumphal imagery and reflects Trajan's celebrated military victories. The regnal year date appears in the field.
