| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, with aegis on left shoulder. The emperor is depicted with characteristic short curly hair beneath the laurel wreath, rendered in the Roman provincial style of the Alexandrian mint. The legend runs clockwise around the bust within a beaded border. The cuirass is finely detailed, reflecting the military iconography typical of Trajanic coinage. |
