背面描述	Isis Pharia standing right, her robes billowing as she holds an inflated sail with both hands, a motif emblematic of the goddess as protectress of mariners and the Alexandrian harbour. To the right, a second female figure, tentatively identified as Isis, stands facing left. Between the two figures, a dolphin is depicted, further reinforcing the maritime iconographic programme. The composition is typical of Alexandrian bronze coinage of the Trajanic period and reflects the city's strong association with Nile and sea commerce.

Egyptian bronzes of this period are dated by regnal year rather than consular year, a bookkeeping habit inherited from Ptolemaic administrative practice that never fully gave way to Roman convention. The L ΙΖ notation — the Greek letter for "year" followed by 17 — is the only dating system the Alexandrian mint used throughout the imperial period.
