| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, depicted nude with an aegis draped over the left shoulder, rendered in the robust Alexandrian provincial style. The laureate wreath is clearly articulated across the brow, and the facial features display the characteristic strong profile associated with Trajanic portraiture. The Greek legend encircles the bust, running along the coin's periphery. The flan is broad but irregular, consistent with Alexandrian bronze production of the period. |
