Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, depicted nude with an aegis draped over the left shoulder, rendered in the bold provincial style characteristic of Alexandrian coinage. The imperial effigy displays strong, individualistic portraiture with clearly defined facial features. The surrounding legend in Greek script runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan, identifying the emperor with his full titulature. The flan is broad and irregular, typical of Alexandrian bronze issues of this period.
