The laureate wreath crowns the head with finely rendered hair locks falling behind the neck. The imperial effigy is rendered in the typical Alexandrian provincial style, with a beaded border encircling the coin. The Greek legend runs around the periphery of the obverse field, identifying the emperor with his full titulature. |
