Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, draped and cuirassed, viewed from the rear, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style characteristic of early second-century Egyptian coinage. The emperor's effigy displays a wreath of laurel leaves crowning the head, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The Greek imperial titulature is disposed around the bust in a circular legend occupying the full periphery of the obverse field. The flan is slightly irregular, as is typical of Alexandrian bronze issues of this period.
