(Translation: Emperor Trajan Augustus Germanicus Dacicus)
Reverse description Nilus reclining in a biga drawn by two hippopotami, proceeding to the left, holding a cornucopia in his raised arm; a genius or Nile genius figure appears before him in the field. A second genius is depicted above the scene. The regnal year numeral ΙϚ appears to the left of the composition. The reverse type is a characteristic Alexandrian motif celebrating the fertility and prosperity associated with the Nile flood, executed in the provincial style typical of the reign of Trajan.
