Reverse description A triumphal arch rendered in frontal elevation occupies the central field, depicted as a three-bayed structure with a prominent central archway flanked by two smaller lateral arches, all supported on decorated piers. The entablature and triangular pediment above are surmounted by a quadriga bearing an equestrian or standing statue of the Emperor, celebrating Trajan's Dacian victories. The regnal date legend L ΙΒ appears in the field, denoting the twelfth regnal year of Trajan's reign in Egypt according to the Alexandrian calendar (108–109 AD). The die work is characteristic of the Alexandrian mint's provincial bronze coinage, with bold, deeply incised architectural detail.
