In her right hand she holds a ship's rudder, symbolizing the guidance of fate, while her left arm supports a cornucopia overflowing with fruits and grain, emblematic of abundance and prosperity. The figure is rendered in the conventional provincial Greek style associated with the Lydian mint of Peltae. The reverse legend is disposed in two or three lines within the field around the figure, identifying the issuing city and the presiding magistrate. |
