Reverse description Two togati depicted in a concordia handshake scene: Caracalla, laureate and togate, stands to the right, extending his right hand, while Geta, bare-headed and togate, stands to the left, clasping hands with his brother in a dextrarum iunctio. The composition emphasises dynastic harmony between the two imperial heirs. The encircling Greek legend in the field and border reads ΝΙΚΟΜΗΔΕΩΝ ΔΙϹ ΝΕΩΚΟΡΩΝ, proclaiming the civic pride of Nicomedia as twice holder of the neocorate honour. The reverse execution is typical of Bithynian provincial bronze coinage under the Severan dynasty.
