Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Geta facing right, viewed from the rear, the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Bithynian civic coinage, with a beaded border encircling the flan. The encircling Greek legend identifies the emperor by his full titulature.

Reverse description An eagle stands to the left upon a garlanded altar, its head turned back to the right, wings closed. Two military standards flank the central composition, one to either side of the altar, emphasizing the civic and military prestige of Nicaea. The ethnic legend ΝΙΚΑΙΕΩΝ is disposed around the field, identifying the issuing city. The overall composition reflects the standard reverse iconography of Bithynian provincial bronzes of the Severan period.
