| 背面描述 | The personification of Alexandria stands facing left in a dignified pose, attired in the manner of a civic deity. In her right hand she holds a small bust of Sarapis, the syncretic Greco-Egyptian deity closely associated with Alexandria, while her left hand grasps a long sceptre. A tall palm branch is prominently placed to the left of the figure, symbolising victory and the fertility of Egypt. The regnal year legend L Ϛ (Year 6 of Philip I's reign in the Alexandrian calendar, corresponding to 248–249 AD) appears in the field. The reverse type reflects the distinctive iconographic programme of Alexandrian tetradrachm and large bronze issues, combining civic pride with imperial cult imagery. |
