| Beschrijving voorzijde | Diademed and draped bust of Otacilia Severa facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Mysian civic coinage. The portrait features a stephane or diadem across the brow and drapery over the shoulder, with the effigy occupying the central field. The surrounding circular legend reads Μ ΩΤΑΚ ϹΕΒΗΡΑ ϹΕ in Greek characters, identifying the empress. The flan is irregular and the strike somewhat worn, consistent with provincial bronze production of the mid-third century AD. |

The iconographic conflation of the young Caesar with the divine messenger Hermes is a well-attested convention in Mysian provincial coinage of the Philippan period. The bust is rendered in a provincial style with visible drapery folds over the shoulder. The surrounding Greek legend names the local magistrate responsible for the issue and identifies the civic authority of the Hadrianeians. |
