| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Nerva facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style with bold relief. The effigy displays the characteristic aged features of Nerva with a prominent laureate wreath. The encircling Greek legend reads ΑΥΤΟΚΡΑΤΩΡ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ ΝΕΡΟΥΑΝ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΟϹ, distributed around the bust in the field. The die work is typical of the Rhodian provincial mint under the Conventus of Alabanda. |
