背面描述 Tyche, the personification of the city's fortune, stands facing with head turned to the left, rendered in full figure. In her right hand she holds a ship's rudder resting on the ground, symbolising guidance and prosperity, while her left arm supports a cornucopia overflowing with fruits and grain, emblematic of abundance. The figure is draped in a long chiton and the composition fills the central field, with the colonial legend distributed around the periphery within a beaded border.

附加信息

Apamea in Bithynia was a Pontic colony with a complicated civic identity — the city claimed descent from both Macedonian settlers and an older Phrygian foundation, and its colonial titulature reflects that layered self-presentation. The legend COL IVL CONC APA AVG records an honorific grant, almost certainly tied to the city's effort to curry imperial favor during a reign as politically unstable as Maximinus Thrax's. He never visited the eastern provinces; these civic bronzes were struck by local magistrates effectively performing loyalty to an emperor most of the Senate was trying to forget.

D D — decreto decurionum — confirms authorization by the local council, the standard civic mechanism for provincial bronze issues under the Severan and post-Severan period.
