| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate head of Lucius Verus facing right, with traces of drapery visible at the shoulder truncation. The portrait is rendered in the typical Alexandrian provincial style, with the emperor's characteristic beard and features, though the obverse suffers from heavy wear and surface corrosion that obscures much of the finer detail. The encircling Greek legend naming Lucius Aurelius Verus as Augustus runs along the periphery. The flan is irregular in shape, consistent with hand-hammered provincial coinage of the Antonine period. |
