Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Marcus Aurelius facing right, with traces of drapery visible at the shoulder. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic Antonine style, displaying the emperor's distinctive beard and curled hair beneath the laurel wreath. The surrounding Greek legend is partially visible along the periphery of the irregular flan. The die work reflects the competent but provincial engraving style typical of the Alexandrian mint during the second century AD.
