To the left, Euthenia stands facing right, a corn-stalk resting over her shoulder, and raises a wreath in her extended hand, symbolising abundance and prosperity. To the right, the river god Nilus is seated left upon a rocky outcrop, holding a cornucopia in one arm and a reed in the other, while a crocodile climbs the rocks at his side — a quintessential Alexandrian iconographic motif evoking the fertile inundation of the Nile. The date regnal year 3 appears in the field as the Greek numeral Γ preceded by the year-marker L. |
