Obverse description Youthful laureate bust of Commodus, draped in paludamentum and cuirass, facing right and seen from the front, presented in the provincial Greek style typical of Lydian civic coinage. The portrait captures the emperor in his early co-regency period, with fine surface detail on the armour. The Greek imperial legend encircles the bust along the periphery of the flan.
