Reverse description Harpocrates of Heracleopolis, the youthful solar deity syncretized with Horus the Child, is depicted seated upon a sphinx facing left. The god raises the index finger of his right hand to his lips in his characteristic gesture of silence and divine mystery, while his left hand holds a club. The sphinx, a symbol of royal power and divine guardianship, provides an Egyptianizing iconographic context deeply rooted in the Alexandrian religious milieu. The regnal date L ΚΑ (Year 21) appears in the field, precisely dating the issue to the Alexandrian year 136–137 CE.
