| 背面描述 | The god Sarapis, shown as a bearded and robed mature male figure, is depicted seated and reclining upon the back of a large spread eagle facing left, whose wings are fully extended to fill the field. Sarapis holds ears of grain in his extended left hand and grasps a long sceptre in his right, emblematic of his dual role as a deity of fertility and sovereign power. The regnal date legend L ΚΑ (year 21, corresponding to 136–137 AD) is inscribed in the upper field, flanking the figure on either side. The composition is boldly rendered in high relief, characteristic of Alexandrian imperial bronze coinage. The reverse field shows the rough, granular surface typical of struck Egyptian provincial bronzes. |
