| Reverse description | Two Canopic jars (canopi) set upon a decorated base or basis, with a bull depicted in right-facing profile between them. To the left of the group stands Isis, facing front with head turned to the right, holding a sceptre. To the right stands Harpocrates, facing front with head turned to the left, his right hand raised with finger extended to his lips in the traditional gesture of silence, and holding a club in his left hand. The date legend appears in the field. The composition is typical of Alexandrian religious iconography celebrating Egyptian deities. |
