Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, depicted from the rear in the characteristic Alexandrian style. The imperial effigy displays the emperor's characteristic short beard and laureate wreath. The surrounding Greek legend identifies him as Emperor Caesar Trajan Hadrian Augustus. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show significant wear consistent with prolonged circulation.
