Between the two temples rises a tall column surmounted by a standing figure, tentatively identified as Demeter. The overall design proudly commemorates the city's status as a twice-neocorate metropolis, honoured with the right to maintain two imperial cult temples. The reverse legend encircles the architectural scene in Greek characters. |
