Reverse description Two hexastyle temple facades rendered in three-quarter perspective, each displaying six columns with elaborate entablatures, a rare and ambitious architectural composition characteristic of the neocorate coinage of Nicomedia. Between the two temples rises a tall column surmounted by a standing figure, tentatively identified as Demeter. The overall design proudly commemorates the city's status as a twice-neocorate metropolis, honoured with the right to maintain two imperial cult temples. The reverse legend encircles the architectural scene in Greek characters.
