| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gallienus facing right, portrayed from behind to show the rear of the cuirass and paludamentum. The imperial effigy is rendered in the provincial style typical of Phrygian civic coinage, with the laurel wreath clearly distinguishable atop the head. The encircling Greek legend naming the emperor as Augustus runs along the periphery, divided by the counter-mark Ϲ-ΕΒ in the field. |
