Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Commodus facing right, depicted in youthful fashion with curled hair adorned with a laurel wreath. The emperor wears a paludamentum fastened at the shoulder, rendered in the provincial Greek artistic style characteristic of Lydian civic coinage. The legend runs around the periphery of the flan in Greek characters, identifying the emperor by his imperial titles.
