Obverse description Laureate bust of Commodus with short to medium-length beard, draped in paludamentum and cuirass, facing right and viewed from the rear. The imperial effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Lesbos-region coinage under the Antonine dynasty. The obverse legend in Greek characters encircles the bust, identifying the emperor by abbreviated titulature.
