Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Caracalla facing right, depicted from behind, with the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder visible over the cuirass. The effigy exhibits the characteristic broad-faced portraiture associated with Caracalla's later coinage. The Greek imperial legend encircles the bust within a beaded border, occupying both the upper and lower fields.
