Obverse description Laureate head of Antoninus Pius facing left, with traces of drapery visible at the shoulder truncation. The imperial effigy is rendered in the typical Alexandrian provincial style, with a wreath of laurel encircling the head. A continuous Greek legend surrounds the portrait in the field, naming the emperor with his full titulature. The flan is irregular and the strike shows characteristic features of the Alexandrian mint workshop.
