The deity holds a reed in one hand and a large cornucopia in the other, from which a small Genius emerges holding a wreath. A crocodile, emblematic of the Nile and Egyptian iconography, climbs the rocks behind the figure. The regnal date appears in the left field. This type is characteristic of the rich Nilotic iconography employed on Alexandrian provincial coinage under Antoninus Pius. |
