正面描述 Laureate, draped bust of Emperor Antoninus Pius facing right, wearing the paludamentum over the right shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the standard provincial style of Alexandrian coinage, with the emperor's characteristic features visible despite surface wear. The encircling Greek legend identifies the emperor by his full titulature. The flan is irregular in shape, consistent with Alexandrian bronze production of the mid-second century AD.

附加信息

Year 18 of Antoninus Pius corresponds to 154–155 AD, a period of administrative stability in Egypt that makes the coin historically unremarkable in the best possible way — Alexandria was functioning, the Nile flood cycles were cooperative, and the imperial cult machinery ran without interruption. The regnal year dating system used by Alexandrian bronzes is itself a survival of Ptolemaic administrative practice, retained by Rome as a concession to local bureaucratic tradition rather than replaced with consular dating as elsewhere in the empire.

The IV.4 reference places this within Dattari-Savio's corpus, the essential framework for Alexandrian provincial bronzes of this period.
