| 正面描述 | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Antoninus Pius, draped with paludamentum, facing right, viewed from the centre or slightly from the rear. The emperor's effigy is rendered in the typical Alexandrian provincial style, with a broad, deeply struck portrait. The obverse legend runs around the periphery in Greek characters, giving the emperor's full titulature. |

Year four of Antoninus Pius's reign — the regnal date marked by the L Δ — corresponds to 140/141 AD, the same period in which Antoninus was negotiating the construction of the Antonine Wall in Britain and consolidating frontier policy across the empire. Alexandria's civic bronze coinage operated on its own Egyptian calendar year system, independent of Roman mint authority, which is why Alexandrian issues carry explicit regnal year markers that coins from Rome itself never needed.
