| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gallienus facing right, portrayed from behind, with the radiate crown clearly visible above the head. The emperor's paludamentum and segmented cuirass are rendered in detail, with the folds of the military cloak visible at the shoulder. A Greek imperial legend encircles the bust in the field, reading from upper left around the periphery. The portrait displays the characteristic three-quarter rear view convention employed for provincial bronze coinage of this period. The surface shows an even dark green patina consistent with Lydian provincial issues of the joint reign. |
